
Beth Hart, a Los Angeles native, is a blues-styled singer and former street performer. In 1995 she debuted in the music industry with Immortal. Her outspoken style and exceptional musicianship drew attention, as well as her expressive live performances and voice that was compared to Janis Joplin. "Hart is the perfect example of the natural woman," wrote Chuck Taylor for the October 2, 1999 issue of Billboard magazine "bawdy and funny, lively and fluttering around with her choice of spiced words. That's not her real talent. She's a tall, graceful and graceful singer/songwriter who performs her songs with the vim and energy like Mick Jagger .
